Taim is a six year old boy living in Azaz, Syria since fleeing his home due to the ongoing war. His physical disability combined with the trauma experienced related to his family’s displacement, have led to psychological issues and difficulty integrating with his peers.
Taim found a safe and welcoming haven when he joined the Healing in Harmony program at SENED, a specialised NGO supporting persons with disabilities and their families. Through the power of music, he has developed self confidence and learned ways to decompress his emotions. His family has noticed a major improvement in how he is able to communicate and interact with others.
